Before you start

Complete both steps below before customizing anything. Skipping them is the most common reason setups go wrong.

Step 1 — Duplicate the template

Open the template in Framer and click Duplicate in the top-left corner (Framer icon → File → Duplicate). All your work happens in the original remix. Use the duplicate as backup.

Step 2 — Read this documentation

This doc covers everything: copy editing, CMS field logic, image specs, and common mistakes. Keep it open while you work.

Setup sequence

Follow this order. Each step depends on the one before it.

  1. Duplicate the template in Framer
  2. Set up your CMS collections — Blog, Legal
  3. Replace global settings — Product/Company Name, email, social links, logo
  4. Edit page copy — homepage through contact
  5. Configure SEO metadata for each page
  6. Connect your custom domain
